I have been working in the mental health and addictions field since 2011. I have my MA in clinical counseling, licensure in addiction counseling and LPC. I have a wide range of experience spanning from inpatient psychiatric and addiction treatment, detox, to outpatient mental health. I also advocate for the LGBTQIA+ community.
From my experience, I have found that issues tend to resolve when people are respected and accepted for who they are as opposed to being judged and mistreated for who they aren’t. My job is to help you learn tools to manage stress, while identifying your unique characteristics that will help you accomplish goals and build health relationships to be your best self.
I use a range of treatment modalities to best support clients needs when they work with me. Some of these include motivational interviewing, CBT, DBT, attachment theory, client centered therapy, and solution focused therapy.
