Emily is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has worked with teens and adults since 2012. Emily has worked in a variety of settings including providing services to patients and families in skilled nursing and hospital settings, and working with children, teens and adults in inpatient and outpatient mental health settings.
Emily graduated from Florida State University with a Master’s in Social Work focusing her studies on family and marital therapy. Afterwards, Emily trained extensively in complicated grief therapy and trauma-based treatment. Emily has worked with a variety of concerns including adjustment, grief and loss, death and dying, substance abuse, trauma, couples, and family dynamics. She has helped address depression, anxiety, and other major mental health disorders.
Emily has an eclectic approach to treatment. Each client and family require a different plan, and Emily will ensure that your treatment plan fits your particular set of needs. Emily’s approach is open, relaxed, and goal oriented. Emily utilizes multiple approaches including cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution focused, client centered, collaborative therapies and complicated grief therapy.

Online Therapy
Emily Cunningham offers online therapy sessions through scheduled appointments. All Westside providers have access to HIPAA compliant and secure teleconferencing software to protect client privacy. Instructions to access a scheduled session will be sent directly by the provider leading up to the appointment.
