Interested in starting or growing your private practice?
Westside Behavioral Care (WBC) was founded in 1998 with the goal of providing accessible mental health care to people of all ages across the Denver and Boulder metropolitan areas. Over the last 25 years, our partnerships with licensed therapists in private practice has helped us significantly increase access to care. We add clinically strong, ethically sound therapists to our group whenever availability permits.
The company is led by Dr. Thomas Giles who was a clinical psychologist in private practice for 25 years before founding WBC. Among other things, Westside provides credentialing, billing and referrals to its therapists so that they have more time to focus upon clinical work and quality of life.
Our model is simple:
1 – We credential providers in private practice with insurance panels
2 – Our marketing efforts and partnerships generate referrals
3 – Provider offer care to clients
4 – Westside’s billing specialist submits insurance claims
5 – Providers are paid as reimbursements come in
Regulatory and insurer requirements are passed along from time to time, but we otherwise empower providers to run their practices as they see fit.
Not at all! Providers have full control over when and how much they decide to work.
All credentialing costs are covered by WBC.
Westside has contracts with nearly all insurers in the Greater Denver Area. A full insurer list can be found on our insurance page, and providers decide which insurers they want to be credentialed with when they join.
Westside’s billing specialist handles the great majority of billing and reimbursement requirements on your behalf.
Our proprietary, Search & Schedule software matches clients with providers based on factors such as availability, specialty, insurance coverage, client age, and location.
Yes, we certainly do. These referrals are matched and distributed to our therapist network without charge. Providers can set their self-pay rates and even tweak them on a sliding scale if that’s of interest to them.
Our two primary services are insurance billing and referral generation. Our receptionists answer the phone for our therapists to meet intake scheduling and other client-related needs. We also have admin and tech assistants who facilitate many tasks that providers would otherwise spend much time on, including credentialing.
At this time we are unable to offer internships or provide supervision.
