Abby Klima is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), and owner of Rooted Blooms Therapy. She received her BA in Psychology in 2017 and her MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2021. She began practicing in 2020.

Abby is passionate about working with children and teens who experience big emotions or who may be highly sensitive, have low self-esteem, have endured difficult experiences, and/or who are navigating transitions (such as moving, divorce, starting at a new school, a death, adoption etc.) She operates from a collaborative, trauma-informed, and strengths-based approach, and is intentional to curate each step of therapy to the unique personality and needs of each client. Abby utilizes techniques from her training in EMDR (Eye Movement, Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), and Play Therapy (specifically, Experiential Play Therapy and Adlerian Play Therapy). She is in the process of becoming a Registered Play Therapist and continues to seek training, consultation, and current research to best serve her clients. Overall, Abby’s hope is that her clients walk away from therapy with tools to navigate big emotions and unexpected transitions, the ability to identify and express their needs well, and with an increase in peace and confidence.
