Hello! I am honored to have served in mental health for 18 years, most recently as the Creator of Denver Couples Clinic. My mission is improving communication, helping couples navigate conflicts and preventing divorce when possible, along with divorce recovery and healing, particularly for women. Many intimate partners want to work through the tough stuff (infidelity, betrayal and rebuilding trust) but need help to move forward. My passion for this work stems from my own personal experience with divorce as well as the impact of growing up with a single mom during the 70s.

I use a solution-focused approach and employ an eclectic range of techniques from my therapist toolbox to move each client towards healing and personal growth. I believe each of us has within us an innate capacity towards resilience.

I work with individuals as well, primarily focusing on relationship/family conflict, depression, trauma and how we can free ourselves by examining unexpressed, limiting beliefs. My initial assessment includes learning about aspects of each client’s mind, body, AND spirit, as we all have many facets. Incorporating spirituality in the therapeutic process can facilitate a deeper level of healing. While I personally identify as Christian, I strive to honor religious traditions outside my own and acknowledge the cultural limitations I bring as a cisgender white woman.

Being a therapist is hard work, so I balance it with other endeavors. I’m a former freelance writer and author, and currently cover mental health topics for the Denver North Star newspaper. When I’m not working, I’m tending to my chickens, making handmade paper, or exploring Colorado on the back of a motorcycle. Please get in touch if you’d like to schedule a session.
