Acknowledging vulnerability and seeking help is, in my perspective, one of the most courageous acts a person can undertake. The collaborative nature of the therapeutic relationship, where therapist and client exist, is an endlessly inspiring process. People seek therapy for diverse reasons: a yearning to shift internal or behavioral patterns, a quest for deeper self-understanding, or the need to process life experiences, among others. I hold an appreciation for clients who enter the therapeutic space with openness, even when uncertainty or fear accompanies their experience.
In my practice, I am committed to crafting a compassionate and warm environment where clients not only feel genuinely acknowledged and validated but also secure enough to explore their experiences and patterns in pursuit of growth and change. Employing an eclectic and personalized approach, I utilize various therapeutic methods tailored to the unique needs of each individual.
As for my background, I earned my undergraduate degree from the University of Iowa in 2004. Before obtaining my Masters in Social Work from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2018, I spent 8 years as a high school teacher in the public school system. I hold an active License in Clinical Social Work, along with a certificate in School Social Work. My professional experience extends to providing social work services in both the public school system and the non-profit sector, working with adolescents and adults alike. Along with providing clinical counseling services in private practice.
Born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, I now find joy in exploring the outdoors in Colorado. In my downtime, I enjoy hiking, reading, spending time with family, and taking leisurely walks with my canine companion.
