Hello, I’m Jocelyn Stott, LCSW, CBEIP-MH, psychotherapist and owner of Circle 3 Counseling.
I often work with people who experience anxiety, depression, and unwanted coping behaviors like eating disorders or unhealthy patterns that can come with life transitions, shame, grief, attachment and trauma.
These are things that can affect relationships along with performance in work, school, sports or creative outlets. Unwanted patterns and behaviors can occur outside our present awareness, often impacting our sense of vibrancy and purpose. Through gently challenging exploration we can discover ways to transform our experiences into actions which better support our success.
Outcomes some of my clients have experienced include: repaired or change in relationships; starting businesses or switching careers: increased intimacy, living healthier through increased personal effectiveness and authentic expression.
The most important thing I tell clients is to be open and willing to embrace their own circumstances. We can’t help where we have come from, but we can choose where we go from here.
I received my Master’s in Social Work from University of Denver Graduate School of Social Work with emphasis in clinical mental health and trauma. I have additional certification in Equine Assisted Psychotherapy from the Institute for Human-Animal Connection at University of Denver. I completed my undergraduate degree from Michigan State University. #SpartanStrong
I have experience using methods like psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), DBT, ACT and motivational interviewing. I adhere to an eclectic model specific to each client that creates a relationship of trust and safety.
