Helping people believe in themselves is my passion and what we will work on together. Whether you struggle with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, trauma or substance abuse, lack of belief and trust in yourself makes these issues hard to overcome. Together we will navigate the challenges you face, shifting negative thinking patterns into positive ones and developing coping skills like distress tolerance and acceptance that you can use throughout your lifetime. We will tackle your issues with an arsenal of approaches and strategies from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy and EMDR.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I have worked in mental health, both inpatient and outpatient settings, for over 15 years. Over the years I have worked at Boulder Community Health in their adolescent program, the drug and alcohol recovery program and the Mapleton Counseling Center, as well as having my own private practice. Most recently I have been the Clinical Therapist at Colorado Recovery, both residential and outpatient levels. My experience is with adults and adolescents working in one-on-one and group settings. I specialize in working with CBT, ACT and EMDR.
Outside of mental health I am a dancer (jazz, tap, Hip hop), a singer and a figure skater. In the summer you can often find me with my husband in our glamping camper, otherwise known as my “happy place”.
I am committed to helping you get your life back on track. Are you ready? Let’s get started!
