I believe wholeheartedly that life is filled with opportunities for learning and growth. While we may not always seek these opportunities (and we may even want to run from them!), they are a part of the human experience. Our willingness to face our vulnerabilities and pain is ultimately what strengthens us. I also believe that relationships, both with yourself and others, matter. Often small changes in our lives can yield positive results.
As your therapist, I will hold space for you to process whatever it is that is challenging you and will support you in working toward greater awareness, acceptance, self-love, and positive change. I work from an integrative approach and have a very down-to-earth, compassionate style. I am warm, accepting, authentic, and insightful (and sometimes funny), and will both support you and gently challenge you to be your best self.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Colorado. I have spent the majority of my career working with undergraduate and graduate students and faculty/staff of all ages in University environments, both nationally and internationally. However, I have also worked with many individuals outside of these settings. I consider myself to be a solid generalist, and I have additional training and experience in working with issues related to Substance Abuse/Addiction. I also enjoy working with individuals struggling with issues related to identity, multicultural issues/cultural adjustment, life transitions, grief/loss, anxiety, and relationship challenges.
